New Images of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Stick from Hori has released high resolution images of the art and configuration of the new Tekken Tag Tournament 2 fightstick which features a greyscale portrait of Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. More than that, Hori has implemented a more 3d friendly swept row layout (reminiscent of the old SEGA Astro City cabs) this time around. Incorporating their ingenious hidden start button and full Sanwa parts makes this stick tournament worthy out the box.

PS3 Stick (Time will tell if they release it with the clown nose balltop)

San Diego Comic-Con News Roundup

San Diego Comic-Con always brings the buzz from all sides of the entertainment world, and fighting games are no exception. Here are some of our favorite reveals and trailers from the big event.

Nightwing and Cyborg Revealed for Injustice: Gods Among Us

We’re already super excited for Netherrealm’s upcoming over-the-top DC Comics brawler, and seeing Nightwing and Cyborg in action has us even more tantalized. Nightwing looks like a nimble fighter that can turn his staff into two smaller weapons, while Cyborg looks like a gadget-heavy bruiser that brings MK9′s Jax and UMvC3′s Spencer to mind.

JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure HD Remix Coming Next Month

Capcom used SDCC as an opportunity to announce that their cult-classic fighter JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure would be getting the HD Remix treatment. The rerelease will hit PSN and Xbox Live in late August for $19.99 and should have the typical online functionality of Capcom’s recent fighting game revivals. Rejoice, JoJo fans!

Street Fighter Live-Action TV Series Coming Next Year

Capcom also revealed that they are teaming with Assassin’s Fist LTD to produce Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, a live-action TV series following the journey of Ryu and Ken. It’s being worked on by the people who made the fantastic Street Fighter: Legacy clip seen below, so fans can expect some wonderfully choreographed fights with beautiful special effects.

The creators are promising the best live-action adaptation of Street Fighter yet, which shouldn’t be too difficult considering the last one looked like this:

Lastly, and this isn’t really fighting game related, but it’s pretty awesome to see Deadpool finally get his own video game. Do you think UMvC3 helped spark a resurgence in popularity for the merc with a mouth?

Rumor: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure To See HD Treatment

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a much loved classic manga series fighting game from the CPS3 era. Following the announcement of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle rumors have been circulating of an HD remake of the classic game. An achievement list has been uncovered and it seems as though the game will have online multiplayer support and be an XBLA/PSN title. Hopefully it will be at the 15$ price point 3sOE, and VF5FS are.

Zangief Is A Villain?

Disney is bringing the world of video games to the big screen with Wreck-It-Ralph. This trailer definitely shows that Disney is heading in the right direction by a slew of cameos from some of the greatest villains in video game history. Keep this film in mind since there isn’t much originality in movies anymore.

E3 2012: Day 1 Roundup

With E3 officially underway, it’s been an exciting day for all types of gamers. There have been no shortage of big fighting game reveals and teases, so here’s our roundup of the very best of day one.

Ed Boon Talks Injustice: Gods Among Us

Boon called this DC Comics fighter “Mortal Kombat on steroids,” and you’ll likely agree once you check out the gameplay he’s showed off so far. I personally can’t wait for this game, as it looks like Netherrealm might finally have their own game that reaches the spectacle of Marvel vs. Capcom.

Street Fighter X Tekken Vita Trailers

Say what you will about Street Fighter X Tekken, it’s clear Capcom is looking to introduce the game’s 12 new characters in a big way. There’s a new 8-minute cinematic trailer showing off the likes of Christie, Lei, Guy, Cody, and more, as well as some gameplay trailers showing the new fighters in action. Now Capcom, please release these characters for consoles as soon as possible, you may just inject some hype into a game that needs it more than ever.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Footage

While PlayStation All-Stars takes some pretty obvious cues from Super Smash Bros., it’s looking like a pretty solid party fighter in its own right. Uncharted’s Nathan Drake and Bioshock’s Big Daddy were just confirmed as playable characters, and gamers will be able to compete cross-platform using the PS3 and Playstation Vita. Also, the fact that Twisted Metal’s Sweet Tooth has a Level 3 super has me a wee-bit excited.

In other news, EA has acquired the exclusive rights to make UFC games, which is interesting considering Dana White’s former lambasting of the company. We’ve still got Dead or Alive 5 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 showcases to look forward to, among others, so stay tuned to FYR for the biggest fighting game news coming out of E3!
